Sagot sa Assignment ni Ms. Coincidence

Noong isang araw, nagboblog-walking ako at napadpad ako sa site ni ABoyNamedXander (Xander for short), at nag-iwan ako ng imbitasyon papunta dito sa ©hadography. Swerte naman at nag-iwan si Xander ng mensahe sa Cbox ko. Dahil doon, tumalsik naman ako ulit sa blog niya para magpasalamat. Pagbalik ko, nakita ko yung email sa kanya ni Ms. Coincidence na nagpapatulong sa assignment sa post niyang pinamagatang "You've Got Mail: From Ms. Coincidence." Dahil sawsawero akong magaling, sasagot din ako.

Personally, I do not believe in coincidence if it is equated to fate and destiny. Fate and destiny denies the idea of free will, and perhaps, the coincidence that most people believe in is actually the realization of some unconscious choice because, from a psychological perspective, we are influenced by what we know and what we want to happen in life.

For example, Xander said that everything is part of the plan; that plan is our plan. We know what we want, whether we are concious of it or not, and when we see something that we want, even in a random street like two strangers meeting and falling in love, we know that we wanted each other.

Much in the same way, we also know what we want to happen in our lives, and these subliminal details drive us to do what we do in life. In Xander's post, he mentions the synchronicity of outfits between himself and his co-worker. If, by chance, Xander already wore the same outfit before and this co-worker has already seen it, there's a high likelihood that this co-worker unconsciously liked Xander's style; thus, the matching outfit. Factoring many other elements like weather, temperature, and the general mood created by the media among the populace, it could well result in some "freak" matching of outfits.

Simply put, there's no such thing as coincidence; everything happens due to some choice, whether it be conscious or unconscious. We just interpret it as such since it's much more magical and mysterious if we call it coincidence.
